The Red Fox Lodge is a newly renovated family lodge located directly at the base of the Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort which hosts the longest Ski run in Japan - roughly 8.5km.
We offer Family Friendly Lodge accommodation, making sure that all our guests enjoy an unforgettable stay in Japan in a location where you can ski in - ski out to the lodge and restaurant. The Red Fox Lodge offers 20 Lodge-style rooms. Adjoining family rooms can accommodate 4 to 6 people, western style room with ensuite, bunk room twin or triple Rooms, with communal laundry facilities, kids game room, restaurant and bar serving food and drinks, and nearby onsen areas as well as an on-site front desk service.
Suginosawa itself is a quiet little Japanese farming village. Nearby you have Akakura Onsen Ski Resort, which boasts the steepest run in central Japan, referred to as "the wall". As a result of the diversity of its terrain and massive snowfall, Myoko Kogen is one of the up and coming skiing destinations on the South Island of Japan. With the stunning Naena Waterfall located in the Suginosawa area attracting thousands of spring and summer visitors every year, it is a year-round destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Red Fox Lodge provides private lessons and guiding services. Our experienced ski and snowboard instructors can accommodation for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experts. Our instructors focus on individual needs and goals for a truly personalised experience.
Red Fox Lodge provide options for individual lessons and small group sessions. Note that participants will get the most out of group sessions if participants are of similar skill levels, allowing for a shared learning experience.
We can cater for morning or afternoon lessons and full-day or multi-day options.
For those visiting Myoko for the first time, we can offer guiding services to help you discover those 'hidden gems' of this beautiful region.

from the lift, Red Fox Lodge is an amazing location arguably the best at Suginohara.
We found the rooms were quiet and warm with super comfortable beds, TV & Wi-Fi.
After a great nights sleep we woke up to a spectacular view looking straight up the
mountain ski runs.
